Midas

I'm not so sure I recommend this place and I've had my car's oil changed on more than 3 occasions and every time I bring it in they want to be changing the AC or engine filters, incredibly only in this business has this happened to me every time I come or are they putting in poor filters or doing damage on purpose as long as you pay for it every time you come?...Check your car thoroughly before entering it at this service center before leaving paying for other supposed problems all the time...I paid 20 dollars for a rotation inspection. I know that my car has a front-wheel drive problem and the mechanics didn't see this problem, so I only pay an inspection for nothing. If they see it, you're sleepy and if not, you lost a payment for a useless inspection.

Amazing experience with both AJ the service writer. She knew exactly how to explain things to me. Also the auto technician Jaime was very helpful & savvy! Very much recommended.

I had an awesome experience at the Midas on White Lane in Bakersfield. AJ was seriously a lifesaver. I came in needing a tire and some repair work, and she made sure everything got taken care of from start to finish. When we hit a snag with a backorder on the tire, AJ didn’t just shrug it off — she actually went out of her way to find a solution and get me back on the road. You can tell she really cares about doing right by her customers.Big thanks to AJ and the whole crew at Midas. It’s not every day you find customer service like that anymore. I’ll definitely be coming back.

UPDATE! It’s now April 2025 and our ac is blowing hot AGAIN! Three months after the second repair. 🤦‍♀️ Definitely recommend going somewhere else! Brought our vehicle in before summer to get our ac fixed and they replaced the compressor. By the end of summer it had stopped working again. (I suspect they billed for a compressor to get a large amount of funds and just recharged the Freon.) We brought it in again last week before the summer weather starts and this time they claimed the issue was the evaporator so we had that replaced. When I dropped off the vehicle I told them a separate issue we were having that needed to be looked at also was our engine severely shaking while in park. I requested they check motor mounts and spark plugs. During the time our vehicle was in the shop the girl working the front called to go over our warranty. When I called her back to let her know our warranty admitted they made a mistake as far as what our deductible was and asked me to have her call them back real quick, she let out the biggest, most annoyed sigh. I felt like I was inconveniencing her and I apologized profusely. After we got off the phone I realized wait why am I apologizing here for

I do my oil changes here. The service is always great… But last time some new hire chick didn’t give me a printout of the car report, and when I inquired about it, She just said “ Oh, your cars fine it didn’t need one.” She obviously didn’t want to mess with it. Other than that experience with that woman I have a good experience with Midas. I hope next oil change she’s gone. Everyone should get their report on the oil change with their receipt.
